Make-A-Wish Ireland is Lumenia Consulting 2018 Charity of the Year

Galway based Lumenia Consulting run a ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative as part of its corporate social responsibility programme and to give something back to the community.  Each year, employees are given the opportunity to nominate their chosen charity and the selected charity is chosen by employee vote.

The 2018 Lumenia Charity of the Year winner is Make-A-Wish Ireland. Make-A-Wish Ireland received a donation of €5,000 from Lumenia Consulting.  The charity was nominated by employee Jon Marshall, a consultant with Lumenia. Jon chose this charity because of the great support they provided his family when one of his children fell ill at a young age.  Jon says “we benefitted so much from Make-A-Wish, they gave us and the other families so much support just when it was needed.  This donation is fantastic and really will be put to good use”.

Lumenia Charity of the Year - Make A Wish

“Since Lumenia (formerly BSM) was founded in 1997, we have supported a number of charities on an ad-hoc basis. We decided to formalise our contributions a few   years ago by giving a substantial donation to one chosen charity each year. We are delighted that this year Make-A-Wish Ireland is the 2018 winner, especially as it is so   close to our colleague Jon’s heart”, commented Sean Jackson, Lumenia Consulting’s Managing Director.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – we grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the   human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for more than 2,000 brave children across the country.
