ERP system selection event returns to in-person with an overwhelming response

The 21st running of the Lumenia Consulting ERP HEADtoHEAD™ event took place on 8-9 March in the DoubleTree by Hilton, Milton Keynes. After running virtual events for the last three years it was wonderful to finally return to in-person events.   The attending ERP vendors and delegates were also delighted to be meeting face-to-face which was reflected in the event energy and engagement. 

ERP HEADtoHEAD event, panel discussion, March 2023The two day event, facilitated by independent ERP and digital transformation consultants, Lumenia Consulting, allowed ERP buyers to compare 12 leading solutions. ERP solutions demonstrated included SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Epicor, Sage X3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor, IFS, Priority Software and Unit4. The event featured 24 ERP product demonstrations, two Lumenia good practice presentations, two vendor sector focused presentations from IFS and Infor, a feature showcase presentation from Infor and an industry focused panel discussion. The event also allowed ample time for networking, information gathering, discussion and one-to-one meetings. 

The event kicked off with an introduction from Event Chair Ian O’Toole, Consulting Manager at Lumenia Consulting, which was followed by each of the 12 ERP vendors presenting an elevator pitch to introduce themselves to the attendees and convince them as to why they should attend their demonstrations. The delegates then attended various demonstration sessions based on high-level scripts covering Finance, Production, Procurement, Projects, Sales High Volume and Business Intelligence & Analytics.

Over the two days, delegates also attended vendor-independent presentations from Lumenia Consulting on topics including ‘Are you Ready for ERP – Lessons Learned’ and  ‘Characteristics of Successful ERP Projects’.  The event concluded with the panel discussion, which is always an event highlight and included panellists from industry discussing how to avoid ERP implementation mistakes.

ERP HEADtoHEAD event winners, UK 2023

The winner of the “ERP HEADtoHEAD™ Best Vendor Demonstration - UK 2023” was Aspera Solutions, demonstrating Epicor ERP, with an overall delegate satisfaction rating of 87%. In close second were Medatech presenting Priority ERP and in third place were IFS presenting IFS Cloud.
