Depaul chosen for Lumenia Consulting 2025 Irish Charity of the Year

The 2025 Lumenia Consulting Irish Charity of the Year winner is Depaul. The Depaul charity was nominated by Lumenia employee, Gregg Roche.

Lumenia run the ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative as part of its CSR programme and to give something back to the community. Employees are given the opportunity to nominate their chosen charity and the selected charity is chosen by employee vote.

Depaul, like many charities, the financing of their services is an on-going concern. Depaul supports some of the most marginalised individuals, couples, and families experiencing the most severe forms of poverty and homelessness. Established in 2002 as a small Dublin-based charity, Depaul has grown into a cross-border organisation addressing homelessness and is a trusted leader and influential voice across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Today, Depaul manages 43 specialist accommodation and outreach services for people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their homes. Each night, they provide over 800 bed spaces across the island of Ireland and, in the past year alone, supported almost 11,000 people through their accommodation and community based services.

 We were delighted to present the cheque donation of €4,000 to Zikar Elendu, the Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator at Depaul, and to learn more about their extensive services to the homelessness.
